Bromley
The Glades, which opened in 1991, is an excellent example of a mixed-use development, incorporating a leisure centre and swimming pool, modern flats and a new church. The Glades Shopping Centre forms a major part of Bromley’s shopping offer. With mall and retail links to the traditional High Street, the Centre plays an integral part in the pedestrian flow pattern of the town.
In 2008 work was completed on the remodelling and extention of the southern end of the scheme. The development has delivered an additional 50,600 sq ft of prime retail to the centre.
